In this beautiful piece the kiln fired blue and green enamels evoke the colours of the seas of our coastline which gave birth to these wonders of nature. 18x24mm (3 4" x 1"). The "Luckenbooth" design appeared in Scotland in the 17th Century and the pieces were very popular as love tokens (the intertwined hearts motif being common to many of them) and also as enchantments to ward off witches etc

These are smaller incarnations of Misty (see pendant 776P) and they do like to talk to each other so

assured of a long and happy life littering our window sills - which was probably Mother Nature's plan for them in the first place)
