Submarine Plane Size:24x32This 1922 photograph captures a unique moment in aviation history. Designed in the 1920s, the Caspar U. 1, depicted in this vintage image, was intended to be disassembled and then stored for transport in a cylindrical container inside a submarine. From this container, it could be quickly reassembled and launched. Reports from testing claimed that a team of four men was able to remove the U. 1 from its container and reassemble it in just over 1 minute.
