Antique Cup & Saucer 6 Person Set c1880 English Porcelain Chinoiserie 19thc bronzeA Victorian antique Chinoserie pattern tea set with six cups and saucers with no chips cracks or restoration. The design is an attractive oriental theme with black rims edges and theme set in a garden with illustration of male character, large blue flowers, hand tinted finish with 22kt gold gilt embellishments. The set is in extremely good condition and dates c1880s~1900 Measures Saucer 5 & 1 2" or 14cm diameter, Cup 3 & 5 8" or 9. 5cm diameter, 2 & 1

This is a superb little vase which is unmarked but does have a very faint remnant of an  mark underside

often reflecting the Art Nouveau style popular at the time

Billingsley had previously worked at the Derby Porcelain Factory and brought his expertise to Pinxton

This style was particularly popular in the mid-19th century
