We try to plan all of our fly selection at least 3 to 4 months in advance, when asked what we were planning for April, we wanted to do something a little different, so we asked him to surprise us and tie something which he would use himself, for trout in Bosnia in the earlier part of the season

Suggests those early coppery duns and emerging sedges

These have a small (2mm) silver tungsten bead added

I don’t know if I can bring myself to fish them

All of these flies are hand tied using barbless hooks

all tied on a size 16 AHREX FW507 barbless hook in this selection

All are tied on size 14 jig hooks with a gold-coloured tungsten beads and red latex legs
