Selmer Focus Bass Clarinet Mouthpiece IntermediateThe Selmer Focus mouthpiece is Selmer's version of the Vandoren B40 (sort of). It's got a similar geometry, though the tip opening is slightly smaller (190mm with the Focus vs 193 with the B40). It is a very easily controlled mouthpiece for orchestral and chamber music playing. I've tried it and I find it to be a bit "rounder" and less bright than the B40, which means it will blend better, but perhaps require more "oompf" to cut through a large brass
