Justinien was in Stockholm to visit his aunt, Queen Desideria, married to King Karl XIV Johan . Justinien painted the queen's home in Sweden from across the stream, midway between the Kungstrdgrden and the Royal Opera House. In the queen's floor of the castle, you can see lit wax candles that glow. The intercity with cold, snow and full moon creates a lovely and lively atmosphere.
