Private investors were invited to purchase entire casks of the stuff long before it was bottled. What resulted is the longest aged Bushmills whiskey available. It has matured very well. Each cask was bottled unfiltered and taken down to 43% abv, with the label bearing the name of the cask owner, or whatever else they wanted to put on it The

The distillation and also the storage of the Italian brandy correspond to the valid international procedures

There is also a hint of flowery honey and a marzipan nuttiness

which has now evolved into a rich chocolate and hazelnut liqueur

just ahead of the more weighty and spicy notes

On the palate it is a thick wine with firm tannins and a finish with a lot of black fruit

although the whole remained bright and vibrant

The flavor comes from sun-dried bitter orange (Citrus bigaradia) peels which are harvested while green to capture the most intense flavor essences

Nose: Dry and rather smoky one at first nosing
