1979 North Port Rare Malts E. Highland 20 year old - 61.2% vol Highland ParkFrom the RM series released in 1999 at cask strength. Distilled in 1979. Bottle number 3294. Box slightly crumpled. Colour: gold. Nose: starts all on good paraffin and wax, somewhat ala Old Clynelish. Goes on with acacia honey, honeysuckle and a little ham as ell as wet stones and chalk. Also wild flowers (all of them) and hints of pepper and peat. This is superb and certainly very sleek! Mouth: quite some wax again, the whole not being tired at all.

Nose :- Golden dry aroma with delicate vanilla

The liqueur has a smooth

Peaty and malty as well

rather tropical

perhaps a little pollen

This is one of the earliest batches of the 16 year old
