Godrevy Bead ToggleGodrevy lies on the eastern side of St Ives Bay in west Cornwall looking out onto the Atlantic Sea. It is popular with both surfers and walkers and the south west coast path runs around the headland. Just off Godrevy point lies Godrevy Island and lighthouse. Our Godrevy bead was inspired by Godrevy Island and surrounding area with its green grasses, vegetation and submerged reef. the bead is made from a speciality glass called Caribbean sea which
Between the pink dots we have used a contrasting colour of white glass to represent the waves
check out the pushing tide for an extra foot
we decorated it with a large blue stripe
A visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan just up the hill is a must for any nature lover
we used Dark Lavender which is then decorated with White strips of glass down each side joined by delicate White lines

Whilst its still molten we twist the glass together to create a wave
had already designed a beautiful image of a compass for us and therefore it seemed perfect to use this image on our bead
There are 5 inhabited islands these are St Mary’s
Midigama on the South Coast and Aragum Bay on the East Coast depending on the time of the time of the year
It has 7 miles of sandy beaches and it's own micro-climate and therefore has some of the warmest sea temperatures in the UK
We have chosen a deep ink blue and delicate lavender glass for the colours to portray our interpretation of Dorset county
