We can see two different types of spinifex growing in the lowlands and on the hillsides. For indigenous people, resin from spinifex is used for a number of applications including mosquito repellent, glue to attach things together, bush medicine and is used in smoking ceremonies. It has a pleasant, incense like aroma.
