Tang web specialAnother Singing Tree Gardens rhododendron hybrid that has promise. The flowers are quite orange from a distance, thus the name. The flowers open with a red orange color as the bud first shows color, then becomes yellow with orange edges. The flower trusses are not as tight as I would have liked, but good enough to name and register (soon). The foliage is quite handsome, being a medium apple green color with rounded ends. The hybrid is a cross of R.

The flowers are a salmon pink and appear in late May or early June
