In this photo, taken above Mirror Lake in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, lodgepole pines and rocky peaks are reflected in a small pond as a new days begins. Fall comes early to the high country, and less than a month after I took this photo deep snows blanketed this alpine scene, but on this morning summer held on.
