Fontanafredda Barbera D'Alba 1971 VINTAGE WINES 1985This historic estate in Piedmont was established in 1858 and has long been considered one of the great producers of the region. A very good vintage for Piedmont. Typical blend, Barbera. 75cl bottle. Abv 13% Bottle condition, capsule is split on one side, label good, wine level 3cm below base of cork.

Musar corks can be problematic and the estate themselves suggest using prongs rather than a cork screw 2001 seems to be particularly susepatable to them breaking

The precious wine is then marketed only after several years of cellar ageing
