Herbert Dicksee (1862-1942) - 'Waiting For Master'. Signed Etching. Mirror'Waiting For Master' by Herbert Dicksee (English, 1862 1942). Black and white etching of large proportions; signed in pencil by the artist. Dated 1922. Herbert Dicksee specialised in oil paintings of dogs, particularly the deerhound. This exquisite etching of a deerhound and terrier is housed in a later substantial gilded frame. There is some rippling to the etching within the frame but the work itself remains unharmed. Dimensions (framed) Length: 87.

After graduation she returned to Cumbria to earn her living as an artist and established a studio at Halfpenny
