Crested Butte Summer paintingI have explored wild areas from almost one pole of Earth to the other. The midsummer wildflower meadows in the sub alpine of mountains around Crested Butte stand out as among the most beautiful flowering landscape I have ever encountered. This painting was evoked by several visits and hikes in the Crested Butte area. It is not a painting of a specific scene, but an amalgamation of what I see in my mind when I think of my mid summer visits to that
