How long does a vinyl wrap last?

There’s many factors that can contribute to a long lasting wrap. If the wrap is installed over OEM paint that is in great condition, and well taken care of; you could see 5-7 healthy years out of the wrap. Factors that will shorten the lifespan of the wrap are:
– Using harsh soaps or detergents that are not PH neutral while washing your car
– Spray detailers that have sealers, ceramics, and waxes in them
– Harsh water sprayers like drive through car washes

There are plenty of aftercare products online specific to vinyl wrap that help hydrate and keep your wrap looking like new.

Can vinyl cover paint imperfections?

Vinyl can be applied over paint imperfections but will have the opposite desired affect. Wrap heavily highlights any imperfections in the paint including rock chips. Just note, vinyl is not paint and some expectations may not be met with the final finish due to the surface the vinyl is going on. If your car has damaged paint, rust spots, failing clear coat, etc we suggest having a body shop sand, seal, and correct those areas before we apply vinyl.

Will you perform body work before wrapping my car?

If needed we will do minimal sanding in areas that are noticeably bad. We do not specialize in auto body or collision repair and will need to be done by an autobody professional.

Will vinyl hurt the paint of my car?

Vinyl will actually protect the surface to an extent from rock chips and other small impacts. Upon removal, as long as the vinyl gets very hot, it should peal without damaging the painted surface. In some cases that the car has been repainted, or body worked there is a higher chance that the vinyl can peal the painted surface.
